St Andrews is fairly small and its possible to walk around the town centre in an afternoon. The WalkHighlands website has a number of walks in the area to choose from. There are also a number of well known beaches in the area – West Sands, East Sands or Kingsbarns Beach.

Another local walk is the Lade Braes Walk.


It is possible to hire bicycles from Spokes Cycles in St Andrews.
